Busy First Week

It feels great to get back to school. I hope your child feels the same way.
I think things are off to a good start.
It has been nice getting to know the children a little bit and nice meeting or seeing a lot of you at the Open House.
I hope to have your children running this or some other blog this year. It is a nice way to get some real-world writing. Thanks for following along when it is just me. I'll try to think of something interesting to write about next time :)

Twas the Night before...

I've seen this posted around and thought I would share it with you. Enjoy.

Twas the night before school started, when all through the town, the parents were cheering..it was a riotous sound! By 8, kids were washed and tucked into bed..Where memories of homework filled them with dread! New pencils, new folders, new notebooks too..New teachers and new friends..their anxiety grew..the parents just giggled when they learned of this fright and shouted upstairs..Go to bed! It's a school night!
Welcome back everyone!! See you all tomorrow!!

Reminders

Seems like there are reminders all around us that school is about to start. College football has started. The temperatures have dipped into the mid-nineties and the leaves on the trees are still green. Well, football is a sure sign at least!
Today at the Waterford waterpark the bell that rang before the big bucket dumps did sound like a school bell though.
My daughter Lillie has picked out her first day of school clothes (and 2nd-7th as well!). How about you? I haven't. Any suggestions?
